Bred for top level jumping! In Quintender's Pedigree you will find outstanding international jumper bloodlines with many internationally successful jumpers.
Studline:
Quintender's father is the famous QUICK STAR, who despite being only 1.59m jumped very successful internationally with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum (later Nick Skelton). He won several grand prixs in the early 90ies and nowadays is one of the most sought after stallions in whole Europe. Quick Star produced a great numer of approved stallions and international jumpers in whole Europe. The list of riders with a Quick Star offspring is like the 'Who is Who' in showjumping : Otto Becker & Qualandro, Marcus Ehning & Quick Roxette DH, Jos Lansink with Quincy Z and Quick Lauro Z, Franke Sloothaak & Quilfilio and Rodrigo Pessoa riding Harry Potter. The most famous offspring in Germany is definetely the mare Stella, who equally ridden by Meredith Michaels became European Champion with the German Team in 1999 in Hickstead. Quick Star is one of the top stallions in the German breeding index jumping (150 points, no. 13. of German sires), and the same goes for the French index with a BSO of +29.
This success is easy to track back to his jumping genes. Quick
Stars sire GALOUBET A
himself was in his times one of the most succesful international
jumpers, under Gilles Bertran de Ballanda he became French
Champion, won 19 Grand Prixs and the team gold medal at the World
Championship 1982(french jumping index ISO 181). He was one of the
best Selle Francais stallions, producing world class
jumpers like Baloubet du Rouet (3 times World Cup
winner with Rodrigo Pessoa, BRA). Basically the same can be said
about his sire ALME,
international winner and "Chef du Race" in France, delivering
jumpers like I Love You, Jaloubet B, Herban and
Jolly Good.
Quick Star's dam is STELLA jumped internationally on the
highest level with Nelson Pessoa (jumping index ISO 153) and then
hat a lot of success as a broodmare, producing further stallions
like OLISCO (by Jalisco B), who jumped for the
American Equipe and jumpers like LA STELLA. Stella's
sire, the Anglo-Arabe NITHARD X was one of the most important
stallions in France to form the modern Selle Francais.
Mareline:
Quintender's dam
CONTESSA
produced as well the highest paid foal at the westfalion Elite
Auction 2004, the stallion Fortender
from For Pleasure, sold for €45.000. In 2005 a full
sister to Fortender, Fortessa, too was auctioned at the elite
aution. Contessa has a high breeding index jumping
mares of 125.
Contessa's sire is the famous Holsteiner CONTENDER, who belongs to the best jumping sires in the world. Several of his offsprings competed in World Championships, Olympics, World Cups and so on. Only to name a few: Checkmate, ridden by Meredith Michaels, won so far more than 600.000 Euro in international contests, he was gold medaillist with the German team at the European Championships 2005, winner of several GPs and WC qualifications like Goetheborg and s'Hertogenbosch. The approved stallion Montender, was under Marco Kutscher German Champion 2003, bronze medaillist at the Athen Olympics 2002 and Europes Champion Individual and Team in 2005. Constantin 24 is very successful wiht Ludger Beerbaun, winning Grand Prix in Calgary and Arezzo. Collin 7 (Toni Haßmann) is the three times winner of the Hamburger Derby, one of the most prestigious and difficult jumping competitions in the world. Contenders progenies so fare won more than 3,8 Million Euros!
But Contender is equally succesfull in producing top jumper stallions, with a breeding index jumping of 149 (top 20 in Germany). Most of his approved sons have very high breeding indexes for jumping like Concerto II (breeding index jumping 153) and Contendro (index 150) and produce excellent jumpers themselves.
Contender's sire CALYPSO II competed successfully in the highest category under unter Dr. Michael Rüping until he fully concentraded on breeding. He is one of the best COR DE LA BRYERE-sons and has a breeding index jumping of 144, with which be belongs to the best jumping sires in whole Germany.
GOFINE produced apart from Contender several top jumpers like Ulina (German Champion with Susanne Behring), as well as Largo, Frechdachs and Florenza. Her daughters too became mothers of approved stallions and international jumpers.
RAMIRO, Gofine's sire, jumped internationally and was the first truly european stallion, siring in the whole of Europe jumping superstars like Ratina Z, Gold Medaillist with the dutch team and individual silver medal in the 1992 Olympics und Piet Raymakers, then ridden by Ludger Beerbaum becoming European and World Champion with the German team as well as winning another team gold medal now with the German Equipe at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
Contessa's dam PANDURA competed a short
time successfully in cat. 1.30 classes and got several high
placements. She has unlimited jumping power but due to an injury
had to be taken out of jumping. She inherited her jumping talent
from the world class jumping sire PILOT who became
the youngest millionaire in winning sums at his tiem. He sired
international jumping champions like Bugatti Pedro (W.
Brinkmann, team gold at the Olympics in Seoul 1988), P.S.
Priamos, two times Team World Champion with Dirk Hafemeister
and Ludger Beerbaum, Pirol, internationally successful for
Switzerland with Leslie McNaught-Mändli, ISOVLAS
Pialotta, forth in the indivual World Championships 2006
with Edwina Alexander, AUS.
Pilot still owns the highest breeding index jumping of
all Westfalians, and with an index of 140 belongs to the top 5% of
German sires.
Pandura produced as well a full sister of Contessa, Contida, who started very succesful as 6-year old in cat. M, and winning or being placed 12 out of 13 competitions. She too proved her jumping genes power, giving it to her daughter Pro-Misse (by Pro-Pilot I, qualified for Bundeschampionat for 5 year old jumpers, as well as to another daughter sired by Calido, Coeur de Mari, who became 3rd in the free jumping competition in Westfalia 2006 and already won jumper tests class A when just being 4 years.
won Springpferdeprüfungen Kl. A, high placements in
Springpferde Kl. L and M (young jumper competitions)
qualified for the German Championship Young Jumpers 2006 and
2007
in 2009 sold, now starting with Jana Schumacher, Rhön and having his first S-class (1.40m) placement in Germany (3rd in 2Phase jumping S*)
